Let's welcome December...

ADVICE THAT MY MOTHER GAVE ME..

This advice or sayings was captured from somewhere (sent to me by a friend through Watsapp nessages) and are not from my Mom but it could have very well been (bless her soul).

This is what I would and should tell my daughters too....

"Do not allow him to consume you. If he does not call, go to sleep. If he does not message, put your phone away and have a fantastic day anyway. If he acts distant when you are with him and refuses to tell you what is wrong, don’t wait for him, go home and do something you love. If he tries to insinuate you do not need your friends now that you have him, spend more time with your friends. If he tries to teach you a lesson through the silent treatment, ignore him completely.

If he plays with your feelings constantly, walk away from him. If he acts like your body is his entitlement when you are not ready, walk away from him. If he says terrible, unforgivable things and threatens to leave you after every argument, walk away from him. If he forbids you from doing anything you love, walk away from him. If he claims ownership of your accomplishments, walk away from him. If he demeans you or disrespects your being a girl and refuses to stop when you tell him it hurts, walk away from him.

I cannot stress this enough, you live for yourself first. He is a secondary character in the story of your life. Do not allow him to turn you into a secondary character in your own book."

Easier said than done? You bet.

NO, SHE HASN'T GONE TO HEAVEN YET..

It has been a while since I was here last and my readers (if any) must be wondering where I had disappeared to or maybe thinking I had perhaps completed my journey on earth and now mid-way to heaven... hahaha... Well, I hope to one day in God's time, but for now I am well and still kicking.

Has been besieged by other types of social media and have pretty much been relying on Watsapp, Instagram and FB  as my form of communication to the outside world.  Blogging has therefore taken a backseat.. at least for a while though this will always remain precious.  So what's up with me?

So much and yet nothing much but will do some uploading of pictures taken during my travels lest one day memory fail.

NO, SHE HASN'T GONE TO HEAVEN YET..

It has been a while since I was here last and my readers (if any) must be wondering where I had disappeared to or maybe thinking I had perhaps completed my journey on earth and now mid-way to heaven... hahaha... Well, I hope to one day in God's time, but for now I am well and still kicking.

INTERESTING DECOR ACCESSORIES OF OTHER PEOPLE'S HOME..

Malaysia's 'Open House' is a unique traditional concept where family, relatives, friends and even strangers are welcomed with goodwill and friendship into their home to join in to celebrate the various festivities celebrated in the country, the major ones being  the Hari Raya,  Christmas and Chinese New Year.

I always enjoy these visits as not only we get to meet old friends and renew bonds, share jokes and laughter, the various array of great sumptuous food but also an opportunity to gawk at the beautiful and interesting decors of each house.  My visit to Brunei recently, an invitation from a friend (a Malaysian now residing there) to her beautiful home to celebrate the Hari Raya  availed me to so many interesting objects and with her permission, I managed to capture some interesting objects which also made interesting topics of conversation.

By the way, she is crazy about teapot that she even had a room dedicated especially for her many many collections of various types of teapot mostly bought from overseas and also presented to her by friends.

  

I love all of them but my fav is the ladybird teapot and the lady with the harp.  Hope some have inspired you to choose decor accessories for your home.  Folks, she has a reliable housekeeper who cleans and dusts them regularly...hahaha   There are lots more but let's reserve them for another day.
